Bethlehem Bounty Feeds Holiday Spirit in Hendersonville

Updated: Monday, January 7 2013, 04:18 PM EST
The Bounty of
Bethlehem gave thousands a Christmas feast in Hendersonville.

Hundreds
of volunteers worked on the event in the past week. The tradition was founded in
1983 and is open to anyone who wants to share food and fellowship.

There
was a long line for the massive meal starting at 12:30 at Immaculate School.
Volunteers also packed meals, which were delivered to local homes.

The
bounty included 182 turkeys, 90 hams, 50 briskets, and 15-hundred pounds of
potatoes.

Toys and coats were also distributed at Immaculata
school.

Volunteers say being part of the event gives depth to their
Christmas. One man said it's a chance to focus on more than just gifts.Bethlehem Bounty Feeds Holiday Spirit in Hendersonville
