The Rutherford County man suspected in the disappearance of his wife is found dead. The body of Ryan Lovelace was located in a wooded area near Chase High School in Sandy Mush. Officials believe he committed suicide. His body was found with a gunshot wound to the head.
Late Monday night, investigators were interviewing neighbors on Rambling Road. That's supposedly where Ryan Lovelace was last seen. It was during those interviews that detectives heard a single gun shot coming from some nearby woods.
Deputies found Ryan Lovelace's body just before noon Tuesday. Investigators were hoping to find him and talk with him about his wife's disappearance. With his death, authorities say there are very little clues to go on. The only information they have at this point about Deborah Lovelace's disappearce is that foul play is suspected.
Detectives continued to search the couple's house off Greene Road Tuesday and nearby woods hoping to find some clues. K-9 units have been called in to help and the Highway Patrol is assisting the sheriff's office with their helicopter.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Rutherford County Sheriff Office at 828-286-2911.
