Rutherford County Sheriff's Department Forensic Division have found a body that appears to be a missing Rutherford County woman, Deborah Russell Lovelace.
The body was located in a wooded area off of Flat Rock Road in the Chase community.
An autopsy will be performed by the N.C. State Medical Examiners Office to determine the cause of death and exact identity.
Deborah Lovelace was reported missing late Monday, but investigators believe she likely went missing Friday. Based on a tip called in to an off-duty deputy, authorities say there's reason to believe foul play is involved.
Authorities found the body of her husband, Ryan Lovelace, Tuesday afternoon in woods about two miles from the couple's Sandy Mush home. He was killed in an apparent suicide by a gunshot wound to the head. Ryan Lovelace is the only person of interest in her disappearance.
The couple have one young son together.
The investigation is still ongoing.
