Buncombe Co. Workers Pay Off Layaways

Several generous Buncombe County workers decided to forgo a Christmas party this year and give back to their community. Members of the county grounds maintenance crew decided to use the money they to pay off some layaways at a local K-Mart. About 20 employees showed up at the K-Mart on Brevard Road Thursday and paid off three accounts with $350 dollars. To continue their generosity, they placed their change into the Salvation Army's kettle in front of the store.
