Narcotics investigators in Henderson County say the name Belinda Keeter, AKA: Ruth Langford, has been ringing bells for years. "She's no stranger to the criminal justice system in Henderson County," said Capt. Frank Stout with the sheriff's office.
Now, the 34-year-old is in trouble again, busted on a slew of felony meth trafficking charges. "She has been on our watch-list for a while as a significant distributor of narcotics in our community," Stout said.
Deputies said in arrest reports they saw Langford make a meth deal, then followed her in the area of Spartanburg Highway where the take-down happened. "She was found in possession of approximately 34 grams" of meth, said Stout.
In fact, Langford faces seven meth related felonies including possession, sale, and transport. But Stout said Langford's legal problems run deeper than alleged drug dealing. "The fact that she is on federal probation for counterfeiting on top of these charges will lead to a significant amount of time."
Langford remained in the Henderson County jail Thursday on a $182,000 bond.
