Dancers Propless After Trailer Is Stolen

Updated: Tuesday, April 2 2013, 10:28 PM EDT

Asheville Dance Theater lost more than just a trailer, they've lost something priceless to 35 little girls.

Their trailer was stolen last week, containing a prop for a huge competition in Greenville this weekend.

Today, a Hendersonville dance studio came to the rescue. Opening up their prop house. Asheville Dance came away with a castle backdrop that will now be used in their performance.

"We tried yesterday not show our fear and panic in front of them as we're practicing," said creative director  Cheryl Whitworth.

"The dance community is a small community," says Jamie Osteen of Releve' Performing Arts Center. "It's important for us to stick together and help each other out."

Releve' lended out its trailer to help Asheville Dance Theater this weekend.
