Driver Identified In Fatal Tree Accident

Police have identified a man who was killed in Marion Tuesday after a tree fell on his car, and caused him to wreck.


Officers say Scott Elliott was driving on North Main Street, when a large tree fell, hitting his SUV. Elliott's car kept going, and ended up hitting a parked car in the Bi-Lo parking lot. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.


The tree also hit the hood of a woman's car, but she was not hurt.
