The Facebook frenzy surrounding a little boy from Atlanta continues to grow. 2-year-old Tripp Halstead is getting worldwide attention. The little boy was hit on the head by a tree branch five-months-ago.

News 13 first told you about Tripp on Monday. A Facebook page was created simply to give family members daily updates of his condition. But over time, interest in Tripp went "viral" with his page getting 427,000 "likes" and counting.

His grandmother lives in Black Mountain. Diane Taylor says she is stunned by the power of social media. Facebook fans are pitching-in with donations and fundraisers. They are trying to collect enough money to help Tripp's mom be able to stay with her son in the hospital and eventually at home.
