Food Entrepeneurs Pitch Tasty Ideas

Six finalists in the Blue Ridge Food Ventures "Big Tasty" contest pitched their products to a panel of judges.
A $2500 cash prize and shelf space at "The Fresh Market" were the prizes on the line.
"We're wowed pretty much every day," says judge Christopher Van't Wout of Fresh Market. "Looking forward to what these guys got to share with us."
"Vortex Doughnuts" wowed the judges with their idea of a local gourmet shop with twisted flavors.
The runners up will receive $1000 in cash. Sully's Blue Cheese Vinaigrette and Smokey Mountain Sweet Potato Jerky took home those prizes.
There were 58 entrants in the contest.
It was made possible by the NC Tobacco Fund.
