Former Officer Arrested for Misconduct

SLED agents arrest a former police officer in connection with disposing of evidence in a murder case.
George Ralph Bobo was arrested this morning and charged with one count of Obstructing Justice, a Common Law violation with a penalty of up to 10 years in prison.
Bobo was also charged with Misconduct in Office, which is punishable if convicted of up to 10 years in prison.
According to arrest warrants, the 53-year-old former Simpsonville police officer intentionally disposed potential physical evidence during an ongoing homicide investigation between March 27, 2000 and Jan. 17, 2012.
Bobo was booked at the Greenville County Detention Center.
