Glover Denied Bond

Jermaine Glover's request for reduced bond has been denied.
Glover is accused of murdering his pregnant girlfriend, 21-year-old Misty Carter, in 2009.
A two week trial in Henderson County earlier this month resulted in a mistrial after the jury told the judge they were hopelessly deadlock after nearly 12 hours of deliberation.
39-year-old Glover was arrested and charged with his ex-girlfriend's murder in 2010. He has maintained his innocence and even taking the stand in his own defense.
Glover asked Tuesday for a reduction in his $1 million bond. The judge denied his request. Glover’s family members say that’s unfair, but Misty Carter’s mother told the court Glover doesn’t deserve to be out on bond. Prosecutors and Glover’s attorney say they’re ready to present evidence to a new jury.
A tentative retrial date was set for April 22.
