HIV Announcement Raises Awareness

Experts here in the mountains say that landmark case in Mississippi is a source of hope. They're also hoping, it may help raise public awareness.
The Western North Carolina AIDS Project hopes the situation draws attention to the importance of getting tested.
WNCAP says both the mother and child could have benefited from early detection.
Jeff Bachar, WNCAP executive director, "cause had she known earlier, her health would have been better, and the need for treating the baby so aggressively wouldn't have been as necessary. But it's exciting news for women and children all over the world."
