Ice Storm Outages

Severe winter weather slammed the mountains Tuesday with a combination of rain and wind turning to heavy ice. That mix coated trees and power lines and caused thousands of area homes to lose electricity.
Power crews worked to reattach utility lines that had been pulled down by the sheer weight of ice or trees toppled by gusty winds.
Power crews are still out trying to get all the service restored.
