Kick Butts Day

Some Macon County students take part in a national stop smoking campaign. Kids at Macon Middle School took part in Kick Butts Day. They put up 23 t-shirts to illustrate the fact that 23 people die from smoking every half hour. They also spelled out, "smoking-uncool" with cups placed in a fence. Inside the school, there's an anti-chewing tobacco display made out of giant dip cans. It shows how money spent on that could pay for more positive things like Carolina basketball tickets.
