A man charged with murder for the death of a young girl pleads guilty to lesser charges. Harry Kimmons ran over Eryka Phillips and her mother, Jennifer Simpson last May. Phillips was killed and Simpson was seriously hurt.
Kimmons pled guilty to involuntary manslaughter and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. Prosecutors agreed to a plea bargain for a lesser charge they couldn't prove first-degree murder from the evidence found in the car and the tire marks on the street.
Family members were allowed to speak from their hearts about Eryka's death as Kimmons wept.
Kimmons was sentenced to a minimum of four years and a maximum of about six and a half years. He'll get credit for the ten months he's been in jail.
