Korea War Hero Gets Medals

A Rutherfordton native is finally honored for his service in the Korean War, more than 60-years-ago.
80-year-old Joe Ford received the Purple Heart, Prisoner Of War Medal and Korean War Service Medal during a ceremony at the VA Hospital in Asheville Saturday.
His wife of 59-years says it means a lot, but also was a long time coming.
