Macon Middle Students Arrested Over Threat
Updated: Thursday, December 20 2012, 11:25 AM EST
Two 13-year-old juveniles at Macon Middle School have been arrested, taken into custody and transported to a juvenile detention center. This comes after investigators found a significant threat against students involving a shooting written on a bathroom stall.
The threat indicated the incident would take place this week at a specific time and place. The sheriff says both students have admitted in taking part in the threat, but claim they had no real intent in carrying it out. The sheriff also says these are serious accusations and they are still in the process of investigating.
The two 13-year-olds have been charged with one felony count of making a false report of mass violence and misdemeanor disorderly conduct on educational property.
A post on the Macon County Sheriff's Facebook page also reiterated that parents should warn their children about making such threats because they will get no second warning from deputies.
