On Tuesday January 08th, 2013 The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Offices responded to a Andrews North Carolina residence to investigate a report of individuals making and using methamphetamine. During the initial investigation 39 year old Travis Allen who had listed Watauga Lane Andrews North Carolina address was arrested in connection with manufacturing methamphetamine.
Investigators with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office contacted the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations Lab Response Team was assisted in the investigation. Upon their arrival and while executing a search warrant at the Watauga Lane residence, an active “one pot” or “shake and bake” lab was located and contained. The SBI response team took control of the evidence and chemicals.
During the investigation additional individuals were identified who had been assisting Allen in the manufacture of methamphetamine. 26 year old Donald Hugh Jones Jr. and 29 year old Sarah Ann Pratt both of Andrews North Carolina were arrested for Manufacturing of Methamphetamine and are currently incarcerated in the Cherokee County Detention Facility under a $10,000.00 secure bond. Both Jones and Pratt are scheduled to appear in Cherokee County District Court March of 2013.
