Testimony reveals how a young murder victim was killed in Henderson County. In the trial of Germaine Glover Wednesday, a state medical examiner testified that Misty Carter died from a chopping blow to her head, that was "consistent with an ax".
The pregnant 21-year-old's body was found naked and burned on the side of the Blue Ridge Parkway in Buncombe County in 2009. Carter was about six weeks pregnant when she was killed. Authorities say the baby she was carrying did not belong to Glover.
An SBI investigator also testified that blood stains and mud tracks were found on the passenger side of the Mitsubishi Eclipse that Carter had purchased about one week before she was killed.
