Moped and Scooter Bill

There's a bill pending in Raleigh that could mean changes for moped and scooter riders.
It would require them to have a license, registration and insurance in order to ride on the roads. It would also place restrictions on riders under 17 and prohibit passengers.
Local scooter riders say it would be a big inconvenience. Representative Tim Moffitt is a co-sponsor. He says the bill may still need some tweaking before it gets out of committee.
