Updated: Friday, December 14 2012, 08:59 AM EST
A young girl involved in Wednesday's terrifying crash in downtown Asheville has died from her injuries. The 3-year-old's father, 37-year-old David Nathan Jones, was driving the car when it went airborne over a wall and flew down an embankment. The car then crashed into vehicles at the city of Asheville Public Works building.
Court records show Jones is due in Henderson County court in two weeks on several charges including DWI and driving while license revoked.
Jones' brother, Kevin Sargent, tells News 13 Jones currently has a limited license due to a history of seizures. Sargent insists Jones was driving legally when the crash happened. He says Jones suffered head trauma from the wreck and doesn't fully understand his child has been killed.
