New Information Released in Marion Shooting

New details this afternoon in the deadly shooting that happened in McDowell County late yesterday.
Investigators are now saying it was a murder suicide attempt.
Authorities say the two victims are both teenagers and they both attend McDowell High School.
Officials say a gun was found, at the scene near 16 year old Abraham Valdez, who's now in critical condition at Mission Hospital with a gunshot wound to the head.
The other victim, dead at the scene - is 18 year old Daniel Day Jesus Umana Escobar, who was found shot in the torso.
The two were found in the ground in a removed area near a local water tower by a neighbor around 6pm Tuesday night.
Authorities say the shooting likely happened about an hour before the two boys were found.
There was no suicide note found at the scene, but investigators say based on where the gun was found, the injuries and interviews, it appears to have been a murder suicide attempt.
The investigation is ongoing and authorities are asking anyone who may have information, to call the McDowell County Sheriffs Department at 828-652-2235.
