A north Asheville neighborhood is showing signs the community can make a difference.
Residents in the 5 Points area put up signs pleading with drivers to slow down.
They say Mount Clare has become a race track for people trying to avoid congestion on Merrimon Avenue.
Last week, the city put up additional stop signs at Woodrow Avenue after complaints from residents.
Katrina Sweet, 5 Points Neighbor, "people have been going 50-60 miles an hour and they've just been putting a lot of people's lives in danger."
Neighbors say all they want is a safe neighborhood.
The problem now is getting drivers to obey the stop signs.
