A Hendersonville woman accused of hitting her boyfriend with her car and killing him has taken a plea deal to avoid life in prison without parole. Morgan Bishop was originally charged with first degree murder. Instead, she pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter. Bishop was sentenced to up to nearly five and a half years in jail. Investigators say she killed Roger Moody in June on Highway 176 in East Flat Rock. Deputies said the couple had a history of violence.
