Teddies For Maddie

It's a special delivery at Mission Children's Hospital as the mother and aunt of a young accident victim brought hundreds of teddy bears.
3-year-old Maddie Jones died in December after her father's car flew off a high embankment and crash landed in the Asheville Public Works compound.
Maddie's mother, Kristie Worley, began collecting the bears before the little girl's memorial service. She asked for people to send stuffed animals in lieu of flowers. Worley says the bears kept piling up and more keep coming in.
The family is donating stuffed animals to bring a little comfort to other kids staying at the hospital. They were presented to kids Thursday at Mission Hospital. The "Teddies for Maddie" is Mission Hospitals' first stuffed animal donation foundation. Maddie's family plans on donating bears to the hospital frequently.
