A short winter blast coated the mountains in snow. There were near white-out conditions on area roads. The storm was quick and there was little accumulation.
Police are investigating a report of an armed robbery on the campus of UNCA. Police say two suspects showed a weapon near the Zeis Hall area. They were last seen in the wooded area leaving campus on foot.
Henderson County applies for a state grant that will give the Dana community safe drinking water. As we have reported, nearly two-dozen families found out there was a pesticide in their well water last year.
