Bridge Concerns

A disturbing DOT report shows 41 bridges in Buncombe County are structurally deficient.

Those include four bridges on Highway 19/23, two over Aiken and New Stock Road, and two over Reems Creek.

The DOT says one reason so many locations need work is a lack of funding and the sheer number of bridges we have in the area.
