A Henderson County mail carrier got three people out of a burning home while on her route Tuesday afternoon.
Evelyn Nichols says she saw smoke coming from the corner of the house at 103 Turner Lane in the Horseshoe community. Evelyn started screaming and hitting her horn. She then jumped out of the car and banged on the back door of the house until all three people got out.
The three people she saved did not realize the house was on fire. Evelyn says they called her their "angel."
