Hendersonville is again testing instant runoff voting for the November 3rd municipal elections. The pilot program was first tested here in 2007 and was brought back when the General Assembly re-authorized the pilot project for two cities, including Hendersonville. The system allows voters to pick a winner and then rank the remaining candidates. This allows election officials to combine the primary with the general election, saving thousands of dollars.
