Pastor Mark Grizzard did not go through with his planned book burning on Halloween night. Grizzard preaches at the Amazing Grace Baptist Church in the Bethel Community. He believes all bibles, except the King James Version, are the work of Satan.
Protestors lined up outside the church and the fire marshal stood by, but the night came and went without any flames. Some people drove hours to protest the preacher`s beliefs, others came by to satisfy their curiousity.
The book burning was set to start at 7 p.m. At 8:15 p.m., six people exited the church, got into a van and drove away. Our attempts to speak with Pastor Grizzard at the church were unsuccessful. Our calls to Pastor Grizzard went unanswered.
