Missing Children Found Safe
Two children who went missing in Mitchell County, prompting an Amber Alert, have been found safe.
6 year old Alex Suddeath and 4 year old Heidi Suddeath were last seen Wednesday afternoon in a parking area near Roan Mountain.
The U.S. Forest Service says searchers found a child's shoe about a mile down the mountain from the parking area, and that led them to the children.
Paramedics checked out the kids and determined they were in good shape. Their parents took them back to their home in Kingsport.
