Heels Unsettled On Eve Of Opener, UNCA Ready For Kentucky, Roberson Set For 4th Round (11-7-13)

North Carolina opens its hoops season Friday but won't have PJ Hairston and Leslie McDonald in the opener against Oakland. NCAA has eligibility concerns, which coach Roy Williams is frustrated about but knows its something that has to be settled.


UNCA first year coach Nick McDevitt begins his career with a tough an opener as you can have. He has his debut game Friday night at top ranked Kentucky.


Roberson's soccer team  travels to unbeaten Providence Saturday for a fourth
round 4A playoff game. Roberson is 24-0-2 while Providence is 24-0 and top ranked in the state.  The game set for 5 pm Saturday.
