Renner Out, Myers Honored, AP Prep Poll (11-5-13)

North Carolina's starting senior quarterback Bryn Renner is out for the year with a separated shoulder.


Tuscola's junior running back Bryce Myers named News 13 Player of the Week. He rushed for a school record 360 yards in last Friday's 45-7 win at East Henderson.


The latest AP prep football poll is out.Erwin is 4th ranked in 3A, Franklin is 2nd in 2A, while Swain County is 6th and Murphy 9th in 1A.
