Roberson Beats Hendersonville In Soccer, Prep Regionals, Softball Players Honored (3-4-13)

Roberson gets two goals from Mercedes Ducker and shuts out Hendersonville 4-0 in prep soccer.


Six mountain prep basketball teams begin regional play in Greensboro. Two of the six play Tuesday, The Cherokee girls and Smoky Mountain boys both have 7 o'clock games.


A couple of area softball players who had stellar prep careers were honored by the college conferences they play in. Swain County alum, Shelby Parker of Furman named SOCON Pitcher of the Week and former, Owen star, Stephanie Jones was named Big South Player of the Week.
