Roberson Girls, Asheville Boys Win, Brevard Gets New Coach (1-22-13)

The Roberson girls team stays within a game in the loss column of MAC leader McDowell with a 61-40 win at Enka. Kira Featherstone led the Rams with 18.


Asheville High boys got 24 points from Timothy Williams to get an 84-76 road win at Erwin. The Cougars now move ahead of the Warriors for first place in the 3A portion of the MAC.


Brevard High School  names Jason Lippard at its new football coach. He comes to Brevard  from North Stokes where he was athletic director and football coach.
