Tourists Rainout Again, Eddie Butler Pitches Well in MLB Futures Game (7-14-13)

Updated: Friday, August 2 2013, 09:24 PM EDT
Mother Nature continues to make life complicated for the Asheville Tourists.  They played two innings against the West Virginia Power before rain forced the tarp to come out onto the field.  Asheville will resume the game Monday night at 5:05.  Then, a second game will follow at McCormick Field.  The gates open at 4:30pm on Monday evening.

Former Asheville Tourists pitcher, Eddie Butler represented the Colorado Rockies in the MLB Futures game.  Butler pitched one inning, giving up no hits, no runs and getting one strikeout.  Butler was so dominant for the Tourists that he made only nine starts in Asheville before moving up to High-A Modesto.
