T's Sweep, Two Eagles Sign, ASU Preseason All-Americans (7-2-13)

The Asheville Tourists swept visiting Greensboro in a doubleader Tuesday. The T's won the opener 5-3 in nine innings on a walk off two run homer from Rosell Herrera, then in the nightcap scored 2 in the 6th to beat the Grasshoppers 3-2 and complete the sweep. The series ends Wednesday at 7:05 with fireworks following the game.


Two East Henderson cross country and track athletes sign to continue their sport on the collegiate level. Grant Smith is going to the Citadel while Micah Baldwin will run for UNC-Pembroke.


Two Appalachian State Mountaineer football players make the Sports Network preseason All-American team. Sean Price is on the first team as a receiver, while Tony Washington makes the third team as a kick returner.
