Madison softball teams stays perfect, 18-0 with win at Reynolds

Asheville - Madison High School's softball team keeps winning. They won at Reynolds Thursday 12-4 to improve to 18-0.

The Patriots jumped off to a 5-0 lead, but the Rockets clawed back against Madison ace Hannah Jennings. Maitlin Moore hit a two run home run in the first to cut the lead to 5-2 in the first. The Rockets trailed 5-3 in the third when Shakya Anders doubled to left knocking in Lauren Wright from first to make it 5-4.

Madison answered with a three run 5th and a four run in the 6th inning to put it away. Jennings settled down, struck out 8 and got the win. Jennings is now 9-0 on the season. Reynolds drops to 7-7 on the season and has now lost twice to Madison this year.
