Pisgah girls win at Enka
WLOS – Experience is always important in basketball, but Wednesday night it was two underclassmen shining on the court as the 5-3 Pisgah Bears paid a visit to the 6-4 Enka Sugar Jets. The Bears jumped out to a nine point halftime lead thanks in large part to freshman Lani Woods, who led all scorers with 27 points. Enka came out firing in the third quarter, paced by sophomore Emily Carver with 25 points. Pisgah used a big fourth quarter to pull away, finishing off the Jets 68-52.
Enka is off until the new year when they travel to East Henderson on January 2nd; meanwhile, Pisgah is back in action Friday, hosting Smoky Mountain.
