Tykel Landrum gets Shrine Bowl ring
HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) —
Hendersonville High School's all-state footballl player and Shrine Bowler,Tykel Landrum got one of the benefits of being a Shrine Bowl pick. The defensive back-wide receiver was given his Shrine Bowl ring today at the high school. The ring is a special symbol of the honor of playing in the 81st Shrine Bowl Game of the Carolinas. It was presented to Landrum by Hendersonville Shriners Club President Gerald Boykin.
The Shrine Bowl pits the top seniors from North and South Carolina. It will be played December 16th , 2pm at Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC. The only other WNC player on the North Carolina roster is Murphy quarterback Joey Curry. The Tar Heel coach is Murphy's David Gentry.
