Paxton Pritchard is not a typical nine year-old. He is one of the most successful tennis players in his age group throughout the country.
Paxton says, "I can outlast a lot of people. So the longer the rally, the more the favor goes to me."
Paxton started playing tennis at the age of two. When he was six years-old he played his first tournament.
Michael Pritchard, the Director of Tennis at Biltmore Forest Country Club says, "He is super competitive in everything he does. We are working on keeping that together and not letting it affect the way he approaches the game."
Paxton has already won seven tournaments across the country in the 12 and under division. He even won an International Tournament in Colorado Springs.
Michael Pritchard says, "It's great to go to different tournaments and hear from people how much better he has become. He's going in the right direction.
Luke Notestine says, "Paxton loves to play tennis. He loves to compete and practice. He says his favorite part is meeting new people from around that country. That makes him a better person and a better player. That allows him to hit shots like this."
Paxton's favorite player is Rafael Nadal. Coming up soon, Paxton will play in the ten and under National Championship in Austin, Texas. For now he enjoys doing his best Rafael Nadal impressions on the tennis court.
