App State AD Charlie Cobb Leaves for Georgia State, Tourists Beat Augusta 8-2, Rob Manfred Named New MLB Commissioner, Cam Newton Prepares for Chiefs (8-14-14) story image
Appalachian State Athletic Director, Charlie Cobb has resigned from his position to take the same job at Georgia State.  Cobb had been the A.D. at App State since 2005.

The Asheville Tourists club four homeruns leading to an 8-2 victory against the Augusta Green Jackets. 

Rob Manfred will replace Bud Selig as the new Commissioner of Major League Baseball. 

Cam Newton is playing well this preseason as the Panthers continue to prepare for the Kansas City Chiefs.  The Panthers and Chiefs will kick off Sunday night at 8:00pm.
