NBA Releases Charlotte Hornets New Schedule, Roberson
The NBA has released the schedule for the new 2014-2015 season.  The Charlotte Hornets will open the season on Wednesday, October 29th against the Milwaukee Bucks.  The Hornets will travel to Madison Square Garden on November 2nd to play the Knicks.  They'll play in LA against the Lakers November 9th and against the Clippers on the 24th.  Then, on Monday, December 15th the Hornets will play against Lebron and the Cavs in Cleveland.

Former Roberson baseball player, Braxton Davidson has been promoted by the Atlanta Braves to the Advanced Rookie League team in Danville, Virginia.

Asheville golfer, Pat Thompson came in second place at the inaugural Golfweek National Senior Match Play Championship.  Thompson came within one stroke of winning the title until Steve Hudson from Alabama birdied the 18th and final hole.  Thompson also just accepted an invite to play in the Canadian Senior Amateur Championship in Vancouver later this month.
