North Henderson Hosts 20-Team Volleyball Jamboree, Tourists Get Shut Out 5-0 vs. Augusta (8-16-14) story image
North Henderson High School hosted a preseason volleyball jamboree Saturday with 20 teams from around the area.  It's a chance for these schools to fine-tune their skills right before the season begins.  North Henderson has one of the best volleyball facilities in Western North Carolina.  Teams packed into the gym, including defending State Champion, Hendersonville.  The players and coaches using the jamboree to measure how they stack up with the competition.

With only a couple weeks left in the regular season, the Asheville Tourists are trying to hold onto first place in their division.  Saturday, they faced one of the best pitchers they've seen all season long, Steven Messner from Augusta.  Messner tossed a one-hitter through seven innings.  The Tourists lose to Augusta on Saturday 5-0.  The same two teams will wrap up the series on Sunday afternoon at 2:00pm.North Henderson Hosts 20-Team Volleyball Jamboree, Tourists Get Shut Out 5-0 vs. Augusta (8-16-14)
