The West Henderson volleyball team remains undefeated this season after knocking off defending State Champion, Hendersonville 3-2.  The Falcons lost the first game of the match, but then rallied to beat the Bearcats.  West Henderson improves to 7-0 this season.

The Mars Hill football team will open up the 2014 season on Saturday at West Georgia.  The Lions have six players on the preseason all conference team.  Head Coach, Tim Clifton is entering his 22nd season of coaching at Mars Hill.  He told us that he still loves every minute of teaching his players.  The Lions worked on Special Teams on Wednesday, and put on the final touches on the offensive side of the ball.  With only a couple more days until the season opener, these guys are keeping everything in perspective.

UNC-Chapel Hill and South Carolina's football teams will open up the 2015 season with a game against each other.  The Charlotte Sports Foundation announcing Wednesday that the game has been moved to Thursday, September 3 of 2015.
