After not coming close to making the playoffs last season, the Carolina Panthers have nowhere to go but up.

Cam Newton has made some changes in his attitude this offseason, and he hopes that trickles down to his teammates.

Cam said he's determined to make 2017 a bounce back season.

"I just had a realization this off-season. I took last year personal. I took it extremely personal. I knew something had to change," he said. "It started with myself and with my impact in that locker room."

Going 6-10 last season is something that Cam said has been a driving force for change.

"I just know that for my career, I can't let that happen again, ever," he said.

Cam's younger self may have taken some down time during the offseason, but not this year.

"I did it differently. I kept the pressure on," Cam said. "I had a lot of time on my hands in February. So, I figured from February on I would just keep the pedal down."

Cam's teammates have noticed the work ethic and can't wait to see what Cam can do.

"This is a guy who won MVP a couple years ago, so we know he's the real deal," Captain Munnerlyn said. "For us to go out and compete against him everyday is a plus for us. We know he's the real deal, and we have got to go out there and be on top of our game everyday in practice."

Panther fans can't wait to see how Cam and his new high-powered, speed-filled offense will perform this season.
