EVAN DONOVAN joined News 13 in 2013. He is the weekend anchor of News 13 This Morning and reports throughout the week.

Evan won a Southeast region Emmy for his live reporting in 2015. He has covered major stories in North Carolina including HB2, the "Bathroom Bill," the killings of pregnant Food Network star Cristie Codd and her husband, Hurricane Arthur, the Waking Life "red pill" scandal, the police shooting of Jai "Jerry" Williams, and the murder of Candace Pickens and miraculous survival of her son Zachaeus Waters.

Evan brings a wealth of experience in international business to his role at News 13. He began his career as a trader at a prestigious hedge fund, then moved to London to manage an ATM installation business for the American company NCR. He has lived on three different continents while in the business world, but he always knew his true calling was journalism. He pursued that dream when he moved back to the U.S., beginning his broadcasting career in radio before moving to television news.

Evan graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.S. in Commerce concentrating on Finance & International Business.

When he's not working, he enjoys playing basketball and baseball, trying Asheville's amazing eateries and breweries, and searching for the world's best chocolate chip cookie. He still cannot believe that his beloved Cubs actually won the World Series in 2016.
