LAUREN BRIGMAN is the Morning and Noon Reporter for News 13. A native of Western North Carolina, she is proud to be a part of the news station she grew up watching.
Lauren is a graduate of Appalachian State University, where she earned a degree in Electronic Media/Broadcasting. While in school she was awarded the Dr. John R. Bittner Scholarship by the Radio Television Digital News Association of the Carolinas, recognizing her accomplishments as a young journalist.
Lauren joined the WLOS news team in May of 2013, as the Morning Traffic Reporter. Now reporting in the field, you can catch her reports each weekday morning beginning at 5 a.m. and on News 13 at Noon.
During her college career she managed Appalachian State's campus radio station for two years, was a member of The Honors College, National Broadcasting Society, W.H. Plemmons Fellow, and a Student Ambassador. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, and traveling.
