Buncombe Teacher Faces Child Sex Charges
A Buncombe County teacher faces four felony charges of sexual exploitation of a minor.
Investigators say they found nude photos of one of his students on his cell phone. Tony Henthorn, a social studies teacher at Community High in Swannannoa, is on unpaid suspension.
Deputies say the incident happened last October at the school. The mother of the 17-year-old girl in the pictures says her daughter had been sexting her boyfriend just before she lost her phone.
Henthorn is due back in court February 20th.
