Possible New WNC Crime Lab
The fight to keep court cases from dragging on for years may be coming to an end in Western North Carolina. State Senator Tom Apodaca introduced a bill Wednesday that would fund a crime lab in the mountains. It's something victims' advocates, law enforcement and prosecutors say is a long time coming.
Proponents say it will speed trials including DWI cases. The proposal states the lab would be built at the Justice Academy in Henderson County.
